Updated Summer 2007
The website of Jeff Gottesfeld and Cherie Bennett
It's the summer of 2007, and welcome to our website!
We guess you're here because you've read or watched something we've authored or written. We do a lot of different kinds of writing: for the stage and the page, and for the CBS television daytime drama THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. Cherie has a syndicated column, and Jeff is a frequent Op-Ed essayist. It's a pleasure to offer this official website where you can learn more about us and our work.
Definitely check out the "What's New" button for all the latest.
On the television front, we're currently the associate head writers for THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS on CBS, and are thrilled to be associated with a show that has such a storied history and bright future. If you're a viewer, you know how great it is. If you're not yet a viewer, we dare you to watch/tape/TiVo/DVR for three episodes. Warning: you'll be hooked after that, and your life will never be the same.
On the film front, we wrote the Paramount/CMT Films feature BROKEN BRIDGES, with Toby Keith, Kelly Preston, and Burt Reynolds. Elsewhere on the screen, we've written for AS THE WORLD TURNS as well as the first year of the WB drama SMALLVILLE. For stage, Cherie is one of the best-known playwrights in the country writing on teen themes, including her recent adaptation of Mary Pipher's seminal book REVIVING OPHELIA. We've written fiction for teens including A HEART DIVIDED (Random House 2004), ANNE FRANK AND ME (Putnam 2001), and Cherie's LIFE IN THE FAT LANE (Delacorte, 1998). On the adult side, we're the team behind the "Cherie Jeffrey" pseudonym on the New American Library (July 3, 2007) release TURN ME ON. Bantam 2001). Yes, we admit to that pseudonym.
Then, there are the super-secret writing projects that not even our pseudonyms know about. Ssh. Ssh again. And ssh one more time.
So, welcome to cheriebennett.com and jeffgottesfeld.com, the official website of Cherie Bennett and Jeff Gottesfeld
